Annual New York City Theater Trip

October 15-19, 2018

Travel to the city filled with historical landmarks, flavorful neighborhoods and multicultural flair. We look forward to our annual trip with friends and family to enjoy top Broadway shows, dine in exclusive restaurants, and shop on Fifth Avenue. Join us as we experience the best of New York City!

Monday

Travel to New York City. Private transfers will be provided to those who travel with the group. This evening, join your fellow travelers for welcome cocktails and dinner at a popular New York restaurant.


Tuesday

Frozen

This is the timeless tale of two sisters, pulled apart by a mysterious secret. Both are searching for love. They just don’t know where to find it. Created for the stage by an award-winning team, this stunning new production comes alive on Broadway through exquisite stagecraft and deepens the beloved story with twice as many songs as the original film.


Wednesday

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - 2 Parts (Matinee & Evening) - $400.00 per person supplement

Based on an original new story, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a new play by Jack Thorne, received its world premiere in June 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London. The critically acclaimed play has won 22 major theatre awards in the UK and is the most awarded production in the history of Britain’s prestigious Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards earlier this year including Best New Play and Best Director.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage, bringing together some of the most exciting talent working in the theatre today.

Carousel (Evening)

Rodgers & Hammerstein’s timeless musical Carousel comes to life in a new production starring Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry, Tony winner Jessie Mueller and Renée Fleming in her first-ever appearance in a Broadway musical. Set in a small New England factory town, Carousel describes the tragic romance between a troubled carnival barker and the young woman who gives up everything for him. Elevated to an epic scale with a sweeping musical score and incandescent ballet sequences, this story of passion, loss and redemption introduced Broadway to a new manner of musical drama.


Thursday

Pre-theater cocktail reception followed by Mean Girls

Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But, when Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a Queen Bee without getting stung.

Friday

Hotel check-out is 12:00 pm. Private transfers to the airport will be provided to those who are traveling with the group.

Four-night accommodations at the Lotte New York Palace, a stately and historic landmark on Madison Avenue that has long reigned as New York City’s most iconic and instantly recognizable hotel. This central location is within minutes of many notable New York highlights including Central Park, Rockefeller Center and Broadway. The property combines a 19th-century landmark mansion with a 55-story modern tower and the stylish guestrooms reserved for our group will offer a stunning view of St. Patrick’s Cathedral located across the street.

Tuesday - Style Room Private Shopping Tour

10:30AM-4:30PM - $135 per person

Enjoy a private day of shopping behind-locked-doors while meeting designers face-to-face! Take advantage of prices offered at 40%-65% off retail on new collections hot off the sewing machines. You will visit multiple designers offering their beautiful new collections of handbags, scarves, accessories, fashion jewelry and clothing. You will meet designers along your tour and see new collections being brought to life for next season. It will make everything you buy that much more special. The majority of the designers on our tours sell to Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Intermix and high-end boutiques across the country and globe.

Tour includes light lunch and transportation to/from starting location with minimum of 5 participants.

Thursday - Flavors of Chinatown Food and Culture Walking Tour

9:45AM-2:15PM - $85.00 per person

Chinatown can be intimidating, even for a native New Yorker! It's a hugely diverse neighborhood with historic landmarks and hidden side streets that's home to one of the largest populations of Chinese people in the western hemisphere. There are so many stories to be heard and incredible dishes to be devoured on these streets that it's an area that truly cannot be missed! Enjoy abundant sit-down tastings of Dim Sum, Peking Duck, and more at three exquisite restaurants. Come along on a memorable culinary adventure that will leave you with a deep understanding of the flavors and history, as well as the confidence to navigate Chinatown's  culinary scene on your next visit!

Tour includes three sit-down tastings, one on the go tasting, tax/tip and transportation to/from starting location with a maximum of 16 participants.

A deposit of $750.00 per person and a Pi Beta Phi Foundation donation of $50.00 per person is due open reserving. 

Final payment is due August 17, 2018.

Terms & Conditions

Please complete this form and return to Beyond Group Travel, Inc.  Please read the following information and conditions carefully and sign on the bottom of this page.  If you have any questions, please be sure to ask before completing and signing the form.

NOT INCLUDED:  Air fare deviations and/or add-on air fare from connecting cities other than Houston, meals, sightseeing, theater tickets, and transportation not mentioned under included features, personal and baggage insurance, and any items of a personal nature.

AIR TRANSPORTATION:  The price of this trip is based on a Group Air Fare.  After tickets are issued, penalties of up to 100% may be levied if your reservations are changed or canceled.  If connecting flights are requested, special promotional fares may be used, in which case penalties of as much as 100% may be assessed by the airlines if reservations are changed or canceled after ticketing.  After departure, if the reservations are changed, you will be charged a revision fee and/or a higher fare. VARIATIONS TO THE GROUP ITINERARY MUST BE REQUESTED NO LATER THAN 90 DAYS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR UNUSED BUS TRANSPORTATION, HOTEL ROOMS, MEALS, SIGHTSEEING, ENTRANCE FEES, AND OTHER SERVICES.

TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE:  Beyond Group Travel, Inc. strongly recommends "Trip Cancellation" insurance to protect you against non-refundable monies should you have to cancel for accident or medical reasons prior to or while on your trip.  Beyond Group Travel, Inc. will provide the traveler with the appropriate insurance application upon receipt of the registration form and deposit.  The receipt of the insurance application by the traveler will constitute the traveler's acceptance or waiver of insurance coverage.

ACCIDENT & BAGGAGE INSURANCE:  We recommend that you have adequate accident and baggage insurance. Beyond Group Travel, Inc. is not responsible for personal injury, accident or illness, or for loss, damage or theft of luggage or personal belongings. Airlines may impose checked baggage fees which are the responsibility of the traveler, and Beyond Group Travel, Inc. assumes no responsibility.  These fees change regularly, and we recommend checking with your airline carrier prior to travel.

RESPONSIBILITY:  Beyond Group Travel, Inc. acts only as agent for the suppliers of travel conveyance, transport, accommodation or other service and has no responsibility in whole or in part for any delays, delayed departure or arrival, missed carrier connections, loss, death, damage or injury to person or property or accident, mechanical defect, failure or negligence of any nature howsoever caused in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services or for any substitution of hotels or of common carrier equipment, with or without notice, or for any additional expenses occasioned thereby.  Further, the passenger participates in this tour at his/her own risk. Hiking, walking, use of various transportation and recreational vehicles, and other physical activity involve greater risk of physical injury than the activities which the passenger may participate in during daily life, and by taking part in those activities, the passenger incurs and assumes all risk that these activities present.  RATES QUOTED ARE BASED ON TARIFFS AND EXCHANGE CURRENT AT THE TIME OF PRINTING AND ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGES THEREIN AT OR BEFORE THE TIME OF DEPARTURE.  No revisions of the printed itinerary or its included features are anticipated; however, the right is reserved to make any changes, with or without notice, which might become necessary, with the mutual understanding that any additional expenses will be paid by the individual passenger.  Package pricing is based on a minimum number of participants for trip to operate.  Beyond Group Travel reserves the right to cancel program with a full refund of deposit when the number of participants is below the critical level.  You will be informed of trip cancellation at least 2-3 months in advance.  Baggage is at the owner’s risk throughout the trip, unless insured by the passenger.  The right is retained to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of this trip at any time, subject only to the requirement that the portion of the total amount paid which corresponds to the unused services and accommodations be refunded.  If the entire program is canceled for any reason, participants shall have no claim other than for a full refund.  By forwarding the full payment, the passenger certifies that he/she has no physical, mental or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for himself/herself or other passengers and accepts the terms of this contract.  The transportation companies concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission, or event; during the time passengers are not on board their conveyances.  If Beyond Group Travel, Inc. is the merchant on your credit card transaction, you agree to the following: Beyond Group Travel Inc.’s services consist of facilitating the sale and paying the Suppliers, and once Beyond Group Travel Inc. provides said services, you agree not to dispute the credit card charge. The tour staff is responsible for the group as a whole and will not be able to assist individuals extensively, either on a regular basis or in the case of serious illness or injury.

The passenger contract in use, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the company(ies) and the passenger and/or purchaser of this trip.
